PIM team, we are committed to providing immediate assistance and long-term support to the cyclone-affected people and farmers in our community. Our Emergency Response Program aims to address the urgent needs arising from natural disasters ensuring the safety, well-being, and recovery of those impacted. We work in collaboration with local authorities, NGOs, and community partners to deliver efficient and effective assistance.
Our Approaches to help immediately are ;
- 1) Assessment and Planning: We conduct thorough needs assessments to understand the specific requirements of cyclone-affected areas and natural disaster affected locations through our team’s field assessment and local networks. Based on these assessments, we develop comprehensive emergency response plans that outline strategies and activities to meet immediate and long-term needs for those affected people.
- 2) Emergency Relief: Our dedicated teams establish and operate emergency relief centers strategically located in affected areas. These centers provide essential services such as shelter, food, clean water, basic healthcare for children and vulnerable women. Currently our temporary center for emergency response to cyclone affected people is located in Ran Aung Pyin Village (Mayu Kan), Rathedaung township, Rakhine state, Myanmar.
- 3) Agricultural Support: We recognize the vital role of farmers in the local community and provide them with support to restore their livelihoods. This includes distributing seeds, techniques for making fertilizers, tools, and offering training on sustainable farming practices. We organize workshops and demonstrations to educate farmers on climate-resilient techniques and crop diversification.
